FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask first.
Making a pad
How much does it cost to make a pad?
About 0.03 SOL, paid once in the launch transaction: rent for the accounts it makes, 0.02 SOL for the router wallet's network fees, and the network fee. The Launch step quotes the exact figure before you sign.
How does padpad earn?
padpad takes 10% of every trading fee on every pad, on the curve and in the graduated pool, out of the pad's part. It charges nothing else: no fee to launch a pad, none to create a token.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. A few sentences describe the pad, AI drafts it, and everything else is choices in the studio.
Can I change the fee plan after launch?
The fee plan and the venue settings are fixed at launch, so creators and traders can rely on them. The page stays yours to change: name, look, banner and links. See After launch.
Can my pad have its own coin?
Yes. Name a coin that already exists, or launch one as the pad's first token. The fee plan can then buy it back and burn it, pay its holders, build its liquidity or give its holders jackpot tickets. See Market.
Do I need to keep anything running?
No. The router runs on padpad's servers on the schedule your plan sets.
Trading and tokens
Which wallets work?
Any Solana wallet that supports Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack.
What happens when a token graduates?
Its liquidity moves into a pool on the venue's exchange and trading continues there. The token's page and its trade ticket follow it, and the pad keeps earning from the pool's fees.
Who can create a token on a pad?
Anyone with a Solana wallet. A pad's own coin is the one exception: only the wallet that launched the pad creates it.
Why was my trade called off?
The price moved further than your slippage allowed while the transaction was on its way. Try again, or pick a higher slippage under the ticket. See Trade.
Money
Where can I see what a pad did with its fees?
On its fees page, linked as "Where fees go" in the footer of every page of the pad. It lists every pass of the router and every payout, with transactions.
Who holds the router wallet?
padpad's router service holds the key, encrypted, and signs only the payouts the pad's plan makes. Every payout is listed with its transaction on the pad's fees page.
What if nobody claims an account's share?
Each amount is held for the time the pad set, 90 days by default, then goes where the pad decided: the wallet that launched it, unless it chose otherwise. See Claim with your account.
Are payouts made in SOL?
Mostly. Treasuries can be kept in USDC, and the node map can swap a share into other Solana tokens or bridge it to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, NEAR, TRON or Zcash.
