Build a pad

Choose a venue

Meteora DBC, pump.fun or Raydium LaunchLab, and what each one lets the pad set.

The venue is the launch protocol every token on the pad trades on. It decides the curve, the trading fee, how the creator is paid and where tokens graduate. You pick it once, when you make the pad.

Meteora DBC

The most adjustable venue. The pad writes its own DBC config at launch:

  • Trading fee. Anywhere from 0.25% to 10%, 1% by default. Meteora keeps 20% of it.
  • Anti-sniper schedule. The fee starts high when a token is created and falls to the pad's fee over the first seconds, 20% falling over 10 seconds by default, so bots that buy in the first block pay for it.
  • Creator share. The share of the fee, after Meteora's cut, that goes to each token's creator. 30% by default.
  • Curve. The starting market cap and the raise that graduates a token, in SOL.
  • After graduation. Tokens move to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool with the fee you pick: 0.25% (the default), 0.3%, 1%, 2%, 4% or 6%. Its liquidity is locked for good and split between the pad and the creator: you choose the creator's share of it, up to 85%. The pad's share of the pool's fees reaches the router like the curve's.

pump.fun

The pump.fun curve and fee, with the pad earning through pump.fun's own creator fee sharing.

  • Trading fee. 1.25% of each trade: 0.95% to pump.fun and 0.30% as the creator fee.
  • Creator fee sharing. Each token's creator fee is shared between its creator and the pad. You set the creator's share (50% by default). It is written into every token's create transaction, the moment the token is made.
  • Curve. pump.fun's: 1B tokens, starting near 28 SOL of market cap, graduating after about 85 SOL.
  • After graduation. Tokens move to their PumpSwap pool, and the creator fee keeps being shared there.

Raydium LaunchLab

Raydium's launch platform, with the pad as the platform.

  • Fees. Raydium charges 0.25% of each trade. On top of it, the pad sets its platform fee (up to 5%, 0.75% by default) and a creator fee for each token's creator (up to 0.5%, 0.05% by default).
  • Curve. You set the starting market cap and the raise, from 24 SOL.
  • After graduation. Tokens move to a Raydium CPMM pool with a 0.25% trade fee and a 0.05% creator fee. All of the pool's liquidity is locked for good as the pad's Fee Key, so the pool's fees beyond Raydium's cut are the pad's.

Which one to pick

  • You want to tune the economics: Meteora DBC. Fee, anti-sniper schedule, curve and the creator's slice of the pool are all yours.
  • You want the curve traders already know: pump.fun.
  • You want a platform fee on top of a standard fee: Raydium LaunchLab.

Every venue pairs tokens with SOL, and padpad's 10% is the same on all three.
